EXECUTIVE AND LEADERSHIP COACHING
Leadership coaching that builds clarity, capability, and lasting impact.
Confidential, no obligation, and no pitch. If I'm not the right coach for you, I'll say so.
I coach senior leaders and leadership teams in complex organisations. My work is grounded in purpose, strengths, and systems thinking, and delivered by someone who has held senior leadership roles for over 15 years.

The pressure is real. And it rarely arrives one thing at a time.
Most of the leaders I coach are good at their jobs. That's why they end up holding everything.
You're accountable for delivery, quality, and compliance at the same time. Your team is stretched, your peers have competing priorities, and the people above you want assurance rather than nuance. Decisions that should take a week take a term. You're working harder than ever and it is getting harder to tell whether it is working.
When clarity goes, alignment goes. When alignment goes, performance goes. And when performance goes, the people you most need are the first to leave.
It doesn't have to work that way.
How I work
Coaching that changes something in the system, not just in the session. Every engagement is built on four foundations.
01
Purpose-driven coaching
We start with why the work matters, then hold every decision against it. Purpose is what makes a hard call obvious.
02
Strengths science
We build from what you already do exceptionally, rather than grinding away at a development plan you resent. Evidence-based, and considerably faster.
03
Kaizen micro-explorations
Small, deliberate experiments between sessions. Each one is low-risk, testable in a fortnight, and compounds.
Ways to work together
Executive coaching
One-to-one coaching for vice-chancellors, pro vice-chancellors, principals, directors, and heads of department who need to lead with more clarity, confidence, and impact. Typically six sessions over six months, 60 minutes each, online or in person. Includes a goal-setting session with your sponsor where that's useful, and a written review at the end.
Team and leadership-team coaching
For senior leadership teams and cross-functional groups that need to step back, recalibrate, and leave with commitments that survive contact with the term ahead. Designed around the real dynamics in the room.
Workshops and leadership programmes
Facilitated workshops and multi-module programmes for cohorts of academic and professional services leaders. Designed with your institutional context, your regulatory environment, and your evidence needs.
"
The coaching created a rhythm of pausing that I do not otherwise have. Sean listens carefully and asks reflective questions that made me stop and see patterns in my own behaviour. I have made concrete changes to how I manage my time, my energy, and which commitments I accept.

A fantastic coach and a real natural at supporting and enhancing leadership. The coaching gave me space to reflect but also explore challenges in a way that is action and goal oriented. As a CEO, it helped me navigate difficult circumstances more effectively, including people management during situations of conflict.
